Stories of Ganesh ji
Mahabharata and Ganesh ji

When Veda Vyasa was about to compose the Mahabharata, he needed a very intelligent writer. Then at the behest of Brahma Ji, he worshiped Ganesha for this task. Ganesh ji agreed to this task, but he placed a condition that, if Vyasa ji stayed somewhere in the middle of writing the Mahabharata epic, he means that Ganesh ji would leave this poem in the middle.
Then Vyas got into thinking. Thinking something, he requested Ganapati that he (Vyasji) would say his words in hard verses but before scripting that verse Ganesha would convert it into simple verses. Seeing his intelligence, Gajanan then agreed to script his poetry composed.
It is said that during this time the writing of those Gauriputra was broken, but he did not stop the writing work but instead broke his teeth and made his writing and those Vighnaharta completed this epic uninterruptedly. Since then, one of the names of Gajmukh also became Ekdant.
